Unto us a child is born
He came to us on Christmas morn
We have no frankincense, no myrrh
For the God-child come to earth
We have no gift of any worth
To celebrate His holy birth
Unto us a child is born
He called to Him all the forlorn
He told us to love one another
To give gifts of love as to a brother
To offer all a helping hand
To every woman, child, and man
To always feed the poor and needy
He told us not to be so greedy
He healed the sick, He raised the dead
He gave Himself up in our stead
He showed us love upon a tree
On a hill called Calvary
Unto us a child is born
We celebrate on Christmas morn
And we can honor His holy birth
By showing each of us has worth
Yes, we can show that we can love
Like the Child sent from above
